Big Mother?

Fancy knowing where your kid is 24x7 ? Complete tracking is now available, at a cost, thanks to modern technology.

I'I wonder if its a good thing or not.

We're doomed!

Ok, so I went shopping for groceries today, as most people in the UK do on Saturdays. Washing up liquid is now called "merry christmas". We are doomed :-)

Does anyone else think that the old 80s track from the Blow Monkeys "it doesn't have to be that way" reminds them of summer?

Since its 00:36 now, and I've had a few beers, listening to my iPod (and yes, I want a nano), it sounds so good on my headphones. I think these headphones kick ass though, Bose noise cancelling bought in the USA.... ;-)

Stolen but good !

Shamlessly copied from Sue, who copied it from Ian....

10 firsts:
…first boyfriend/girlfriend: Kirsten - for all of one evening and a dance in a friends garage approx age 11/12 !
…first best friend: (now Doc) Rob.... I suspect.... known him far too long!
…first screen name: Not really got one, but Rederick arrived in 1993/94 thanks to Owen, wherever he is now.
…first kiss: probably same first boy/girl friend above.
…first piercings: None ! Sorry :)
…first crush: tricky, my memories are not good (don't ask) but I suspect it was some cute girl in Mrs Benwell's class !
…first music: First time I remember listening to the radio and liking what I heard was 'Time after Time'.
…first car: 1995 Citroen AX (but I was driving my mum's old VW Golf before)
…first stuffed animal: Didn't have one, but I think I had some sort of comfort 'blanket' aged under 5... no memories of my own though.

9 lasts:
…last cigarette: Never smoked, amazingly for my age group. Suspect it was my grandparents who put me off.
…last alcoholic beverage: tonight, Carlsberg Export :)
…last kiss: February 2005.
…last movie seen: with said kiss - probably Hitch.
…last phone call: probably my Dad over VoIP
…last cd played: my iPod is on shuffle, just played "Level 42 - Its Over" - very powerful.
…last bubble bath: never
…last time you cried: Long time ago.
…last date: Feb 2005, need to get back on that boat.

8 have you evers:
…dated one of your best friends: No.
…skinny dipped: No (too cold!)
…kissed somebody and regretted it: Yes.
…fallen in love: Yes, a couple of times.
…lost someone you loved (not death): Yes, and sometimes still wonder if I did something wrong.
…been depressed: Yes. Happens often, probably due to my romantic status (ie, hopeless!)

The tea time of the soul...?

Borrowed from the late, and very very great, Douglas Adams.

This evening I was watching "Rain Man", the 1988 epic, if you've not seen, go rent now! One of the movies that has some absolutely stunning cross-USA footage within, and some great music, along with the amazing dialog and acting from Hoffman, supported by Cruise.

Stunning.
