Yes, the airshow is back. As someone who lives in the housing estate between the bypass and the airfield, we get the bear the brunt of the traffic.
So for the next week, when you think of traffic, think about what it would be like to have this immensly popular event on your doorstep :-) Our one way system is being 'flipped', there are more cones than you've seen on the M25, and large buses full of visitors will be causing traffic jams from the M3 all the way into town.
I suspect I'll be late for work a lot next week!!

But given the fact the atmosphere is always so much fun, I'll bet you'll enjoy it anyhow.
I had the Tall Ships festival in 2002 right beside me and while the traffic was inside, it was kinda fun to sail right past them and park in my garage, then sit in my backyard watching everyone jostle for position.
We had somewhere near 500,000 visitors to our neighbourhood those 5 days. CRAZY!

Sue - thanks for visiting! Yes, I do like it really, but its because I don't get to see any of it, thats the problem. It does put the town on the map though, everyone in the UK has heard of Farnborough!! Poxy work keeping me out of town during the day.. :)
Lever - Amazingly not this morning, although it was fun to laugh at the drivers stuck in the jams on the M3 trying to get to Farnborough ;-)

Don't talk to me about jams... the 90 min back from the coast on Sunday turned into a 180 min epic! :)
