So by 3:30pm I'm flagging. Its serious. The training course I'm on is so not my topic, and its tedious design work (whilst I don't mind design work, I prefer implementation and problem solving. I believe in documentation after build !). Got home at 6:45pm, kinda normal. Knackered.
Its the same distance as I travel to get to work, and have done every day for 2.5 years. So why do I have to get up an hour earlier?
Trains are just not flexible, and the moron who decided the start time was 8:30am, not 9am, was a £$$"£$£"$"£$"£ git....

He's right, the state of 1.5million people does seem to be very poor compared to other parts of the US that I have visited. Its quite interesting to see in a first world country. I prefer the EU approach.

However the Mac only has 1meg of RAM, and as I have the 30meg hard drive attached, I am trying to locate some 1meg 30pin SIMMs that would work, apparently 150ns and not EDO, and apparently the original 8 chip, not 2 chip version.

I've managed to create some floppy disks of the OS and the two applications, and I'm currently attempting to order some real OS 6.0.8 and 7.5 software on the special 800k disks. I've got some memory modules and an RS232 cable on order too, and maybe (fingers crossed) some sort of Ethernet adaptor.
Maybe I'll be able to get my email on this machine in the next few months. Not bad for a machine 21 years old :-)
Of course the other end of the room, I have a 4yr+ old PC, and a nice new Vista machine, currently running a trial of Vista 64bit. Hey ho.]]>
